Hey Hanegev!
My name is Mollie Elkin and I am your 2009-2010 Israeli Affairs Vice President! I live in the sunny Daytona Beach and am a Sen10r in the International Baccalaureate program at the Creek. I spent the best summer of my life on USY on Wheels (BUS A '07!) and represented Hanegev last year on HeChalutzim Seminar! When I am not doing USY things, I can usually be found running outside, tap dancing, listening to music, surfing the Internet to hear about the lastest Israel news, and catching up with my friends. Random fact: I only wear one contact. As you probably already know, I am absolutely in love with Israel and would love to go back and visit right now. I hope this year, betwen weekly trivia emails and new programs, Hanegev will feel closer to Israel than ever before!

What was your first USY activity/How did you join USY?

My first USY activity was Mercaz Sub-Regional Convention in Tampa, FL. I joined USY because of the amazing stories that my sister told me from it, but because I wanted to meet other Jewish teens and become active Jewishly
What do you plan to do in your Board position?

I plan to keep Hanegev updated about Israeli modern culture and get as many people as possible on summer programs (aka Sum Prog TMs)
What are some other Hobbies/Activities you do?

Dance (Tap), running for fun :), USY!!, relaxing with friends
What is your favorite band/ song?

I love listening to all kinds of music/artists, but I would probably say my favorite band is "The Fray" and my favorite song "I'm Yours".
